Your Health Ally: A Multilingual Online Pharmacist Service

🩺 Because Health Advice Shouldn’t Be Lost in Translation

Clear, safe online pharmacist advice — in the language you’re most comfortable with

Every year, many Australians experience medication mix-ups that could have been prevented with clearer communication. When English isn’t your first language, understanding medicine labels, dose instructions, or a doctor’s advice can be stressful — especially when you’re trying to care for your family or manage your own health.

At Your Health Ally, we believe that health care should be clear, personal, and accessible to everyone — no matter what language you speak.

🌏 Supporting patients in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean — and more to come

Our pharmacist team understands that language can be one of the biggest barriers to getting the right health advice. That’s why we currently offer online pharmacist consultations in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean, with plans to expand to more languages soon.

You’ll receive the same professional, evidence-based advice from an Australian-registered pharmacist — just in a language that feels like home.

🗣️ Free government translation services

If you or your loved ones prefer another language, Your Health Ally can help you connect with free, trusted translation and interpreting services, including:

  • 🕓 TIS National (Translating and Interpreting Service) – available 24/7 in over 150 languages.📞 Call 131 450 or visit www.tisnational.gov.au

  • 📚 Health Translations Victoria – a government-supported collection of multilingual health resources.🌐 Visit www.healthtranslations.vic.gov.au

These services make it possible for everyone to access safe, clear, and culturally appropriate pharmacist advice, no matter which language they use.

💬 Common questions

Can pharmacists use interpreters during consultations? Yes. Your Health Ally can help you connect with a qualified interpreter from TIS National before or during your consultation, ensuring your concerns are clearly understood.

Is the translation or interpreting service free? Yes. The Australian Government funds interpreter services for health-related consultations — there’s no cost to you.

Do I need to prepare anything before my consult? If you’d like to use an  interpreter, let us know when you book. We’ll assist you in setting up the connection before your session begins.
